Dr. Matt DeLeva, Chiropractor

Dr Matt DeLeva is owner of Hyperion Chiropractic and in practice since 2011. He took over the practice from his mentor, Dr John DeGruchy who had been in practice at this location since 1987. Dr Matt graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2010 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, and from University at Albany for undergrad with a BS in Biology.

With a background in gymnastics, Crossfit and other movement based workouts, he found his niche in treating injuries and restoring normal range of motion for patients. Dr Matt’s focus is to identify the source of pain and strengthen areas of weakness that cause the injury to persist, with a strong knowledge in body mechanics, rehabilitation, soft tissue and proper alignment techniques. He is certified in Kinesiotaping and Graston modalities. Dr. Matt is passionate about treating and educating his patients from prenatal through their adult years. Dr Matt is committed to great service and helping his patients to restore and maintain their bodies at its most optimal level.

Dr. Shane Edwards, Chiropractor

Dr. Shane Edwards is a chiropractor serving Los Angeles and the surrounding Community. Dr. Edwards’ quest to help people began with his work as a personal trainer and grew into a passion to further understand the body and human movement. This passion led him to attend chiropractic school, where he acquired a deeper understanding of the human body. Building on his extensive personal training experience and equipped with his knowledge as a chiropractor, Dr. Edwards enlists a whole body approach not only to eliminate pain, but also to understand the underlying cause of the pain. Dr. Edwards works with patients to create a strategy and course of care designed to prevent pain from recurring. This new approach, focused on the latest evidence-based movement theory, promotes patients moving as much as possible in a pain-free range of motion.

Dr. M Assemi, Chiropractor

Dr. Assemi was introduced to the field of Chiropractic after a shoulder injury in 1990. Impressed by his quick and lasting recovery, he became interested in the healing arts, which led him to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College. He continued his education with a Master of Science degree from Samra University of Oriental Medicine. Today after 25 years of clinical experience his passion for the art and science of chiropractic has brought pain relief to thousands of his patients and has saved many from unnecessary surgeries. He is the living example of the old saying that when you love what you do, you’ll never have to work a day in your life!

Dr. Assemi uses a variety of techniques to treat spinal and neuromusculoskeletal disorders. He also utilizes Cranial Technique to effectively treat migraine and chronic headaches.


Dr. Austin Westbay, Acupuncturist

Dr. Austin holds a Masters and Doctorate Degree from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, one of the leading schools of Traditional Chinese Medicine. With a background that includes 15 years in professional concert and commercial dance, he has a visceral understanding of how the body can move in and out of patterns of ease and dis-ease. This unique perspective allows him to help guide individuals away from postural imbalances and give them tools to combat conditions brought about by repetitive stress. 

He utilizes specialized techniques such as cupping, gua sha, electro-stimulation and infrared heat therapy. He incorporates various forms of hands-on techniques including reflexology, tuina, and myofascial release. Dr. Austin is a firm believer that movement is medicine, and has a gift for inspiring embodiment through various styles of dance, yoga, self-massage, and breathwork. At the core of his work is the remembrance that every(body) has the innate ability to recenter and come back into a state of ease, clarity, and peace. 



Risa Robertson, Occupational Therapist

Christine Tatomer, Massage Therapist

Cristine Tatomer is a life-long dancer who studied massage at National Holistic Institute. She combines Deep Tissue, Myofascial Therapy, Swedish, and Shiatsu in most sessions-depending on what will work best to bring relief to the muscles. Cristine recognizes the importance of a balanced muscular system for total wellness. Her desire to keep her own body well combined with her extensive dance background-inspires her to provide deep, compassionate, and intuitive care to every client. We all need to keep moving, and regular bodywork helps us do so with greater ease.


Jan Redondo, Massage Therapist

Jan (Jon) is a certified massage therapist who received training in the core and advanced neuromuscular training programs at the National Holistic Institute, Santa Ana. He has always had a passion for helping others, especially when it comes to overall health and wellness. Jan has an athletic background in cross country, track and field, soccer and dragonboat paddling, and knows how important bodywork is. 

Sessions typically involve a mixture of Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, stretching, breath work and other modalities depending on what brings you in for massage. Whether it's general relaxation to relieve stress, therapeutic work to address chronic pain, or a combination of things, you are in safe hands. Jan hopes you feel more mobile, balanced and renewed after seeing him. 

Fun fact: He is a proud Tenor 2 (T2!) with the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles.


Chloe Zubiri, Massage Therapist

After becoming Reiki attuned, Chloe initially went to massage school to heal her own chronic hip injury but found a deeper calling to help other people in pain.

By combining intuitive somatic bodywork with tools like myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, and Gua -sha, she loves to get to the root of an issue. She is also certified in cupping from the International Cupping Therapy Association. She establishes a safe space and ongoing system of care for releasing patterns of tension.

She believes that no matter how long-standing or deep an injury may be, every body has the capability to heal.

Edward Kiniry-Ostro, Massage Therapist

Edward Kiniry-Ostro, LMT, has been a practicing massage therapist for several years. Educated at the highly acclaimed Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing (IPSB), he has expertise in a wide breadth of work including; circulatory massage, deep tissue, acupressure, energy work, lymph massage, prenatal massage, sensory repatterning, Thai massage, anatomy and physiology.

Edward has a great appreciation for the power of the human body. He works with a variety of body types and ailments, from common stress relief to serious chronic pain. He has worked at several well-regarded spas and chiropractic offices in the LA-area over the years. His private clientele range from celebrities and royalty, to moms, dads and grads.


Janay Ross, Massage Therapist

Janay originally went to Portugal’s Green Mountain Institute for Integrative Therapy in the beautiful Praia da Luz in 2008. After a lifetime of working with her hands, she decided to put her passion for massage back in her life by becoming certified at Hands on Healing Institute.
She combines Swedish and deep tissue to organically find the root of pain. Healing starts with a compassionate caregiver and a willing heart, and in Janay Ross you find both.


Dr. Joshua Farahnik, Naturopath

Dr. Farahnik (pronounced like the first names "Farrah" and "Nick") is a Naturopathic Physician (WA) and Naturopathic Doctor (CA) and a clinical researcher specializing in integrative medical care of neurodegenerative diseases, as well as gastrointestinal diseases, chronic inflammatory conditions, men's health, and environmental toxins, heavy metals, and molds. He has been working alongside Dr. Laurie Mischley since 2018, conducting research in and treating patients with Parkinson’s disease.

He sees patients virtually around the world, as well as in-person visits in Seattle, WA, and Los Angeles, CA.

Dr. Farahnik completed naturopathic medical school at Bastyr University and is currently finishing his Masters of Public Health (with a focus in epidemiology and biostatistics) at the University of Washington. He is passionate about evidence-based, integrative medicine, research, and increasing access to integrative interventions in healthcare. Prior to becoming a doctor he worked in the healing arts for 10 years, primarily as a clinical herbalist and East Asian Medicine Practitioner. He is also a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild, RH(AHG). He completed two undergraduate degrees in Economics and Music at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Go Blue!
